Waterbury, Conn. – The Post University women's soccer team lost a tightly contested 1-0 match to Georgian Court in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on Saturday afternoon at LaMoy Field.
With the loss, the Eagles are 5-7-1 overall and 4-5-1 in the CACC.
The lone goal of the game came by Erin Wimmer of the Lions who took a shot from 25 yards out into the left side of the net in the seventh minute of the game to give the Lions the 1-0 lead.
The Eagles outshot the Lions on goal, 5-4, with
Hailey McGee leading the way with two of them.
Claire Said had three saves on the day, all in the second half, for the Eagles.
The Eagles close out their home schedule on Wednesday, October 27 with an out-of-conference game against Molloy at 2 p.m. Post will honor its seniors as part of Senior Day.
