East Meadow, N.Y. – The Post University men's hockey team lost its first exhibition match of the season to Long Island University.

Niko Grollman scored the lone goal for the Eagles in the third period on an assist from Evan Lugo at the 15:29 mark of the third period.

The Sharks scored a goal in the first, and three in the second, two from Jordan Simmons and took a 4-1 lead into the third before Grollman's goal.

The Sharks would tack on two more goals in the third.

Grollman led all Eagles in shots with three.

Senior Brandon Brown stopped 42 shots in net for the Eagles.

Up next, the Eagles will open up its regular season hosting Johnson and Wales on Saturday, October 30 at 6:45 p.m.
