Albany, N.Y. – The Post University men's lacrosse team scored seven goals in the fourth period, but lost, 18-10 to The College of Saint Rose on Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Freshman
Nick Meier led the way with three goals for the Eagles, as he leads the team with nine goals. Meier has scored multiple goals in all three games this season for the Eagles.
After falling behind 16-3 heading into the fourth, the Eagles rattled off four straight goals to cut the deficit to 16-7 as freshmen

Carlos Chacua each scored for the Eagles.

Nicholas Steele and a second goal from Kelleher. Junior
Mark Colella had three assists in the fourth.
The Golden Knights took an early 1-0 lead before Meier's first goal at the 9:24 mark tied the game. Saint Rose went into halftime leading 9-2 as Meier scored his second goal at the 4:59 mark on an assist from Kelleher.
Kelleher finished with two goals and an assist.
In his first start in net, sophomore
John Carr finished with 13 saves on the day.
Kyle Meoli led the Golden Knights (1-0) with four goals. Jack Pemrick and Cam Smith each had three.
Up next, the Eagles will host Saint Thomas Aquinas at LaMoy Field at 1 p.m. on February 29.
