South Burlington, VT - The Post University men's hockey team held an early two-goal lead, but ultimately fell, 6-3 to Saint Michael's in a Northeast10 match on Tuesday evening.
The Eagles got on the board with back-to-back power play goals midway through the first period as junior
Sean Castagna put home his second goal of the season on a centering pass from behind the net by classmate
Evan Lugo on a 5-on-3 to give Post the 1-0 lead at the 9:16 mark in the first.

Jake Raleigh would then put home his team-leading sixth goal of the season, gathering a rebound in front of the net off a shot from Castagna and stuffing it past Saint Michael's goalie, Alec Lindberg to make it a 2-0 Post lead at the 10:05 mark. It was the second of three power play goals on the day for the Eagles.
Post (2-8-1, 0-5 NE10) took a 2-1 lead at the end of the first after Saint Michael's Cameron Stewart scored a power play goal at the 17:18 mark. The Purple Knights would tie the game just 55 seconds into the second on a goal from Sel Narby before Noah Muller scored the first of his three goals to give Saint Michael's (8-4-1, 4-2 NE10) the 3-2 lead.
However, Lugo would answer with a goal nearing the end of the second to tie the game as he backhanded a shot right in front of the net, rebounding a slap shot from senior
Lucas Smith to make it a 3-3 game at the 18:41 mark.
The game would go into the third period tied at 3-3, but Saint Michael's would score just 58 seconds into the period as Andrew Olevitz broke the tie. Muller would tack on his final two goals in the period for the final tally.
Junior
Brandon Brown finished with 37 saves, his third-highest total of the season.
Post returns home on Friday, January 10th, it hosts Stonehill in an NE10 match at 4 p.m.
