Shelton, Conn. – The Post University men's hockey team dropped a 6-2 Northeast10 match to Stonehill on Friday evening at The Rinks at Shelton.
Post now sits at 2-9-1 overall and 0-6-0 in the NE10.
Down 4-0 in the second period, the Eagles got on the board at the 8:49 mark, as junior Anthony Giacomin beat three defenders on his own, skated right in front of the net and put the puck past goalie Matthew Schoen to make it a 4-1 game.
After a goal from the Skyhawks made it a 5-1 game in the second at the 13:35 mark, sophomore Michael Karas scored his second goal of the season, with an assist from Giacomin and junior Evan Lugo.
Junior Brandon Brown had 30 saves on the day.
Kayser Raei led Stonehill with two goals. Charles Page had three assists for the Skyhawks.
