Manchester, N.H. – Junior Brandon Brown had 51 saves in the Post University men's hockey team's 6-0 loss to first-place Saint Anselm in a Northeast-10 match.
It was Brown's second-highest save total of the season. He had 56 in a 3-3 tie with Westfield State on November 7th.
Brown was sensational in the first period, stopping 24 shots, as the two teams were scoreless after the first 20 minutes of action.
However, the Hawks (11-7-1, 6-2-1 NE10) broke through at the 7:00 mark of the second as Ryan Spillane scored to make it a 1-0 game. Anthony Iacullo and Mike Ferraro would each add a goal, making it a 3-0 game after the second period. The Hawks would score three more times by three different players in the third period.
Sophomore John Krapian led all Eagles (2-12-1, 0-9-0 NE10) with four shots on goal.
The Eagles will return home and host Saint Michael's on January 24 (7:30 p.m.) and 25 (4:15 p.m.) in NE10 play.
