Shelton, Conn. – Sophomore Kaitlyn Daly had 23 saves, but the Post University women's hockey team lost a 2-0 game to Alvernia on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Eagles are now 8-15-0 on the season.
Alvernia scored twice in the second period. The first by Joely Griffith at 7:38 and a power play goal from Olivia Gilida.
Post had 49 shots on goal with freshman Jenna Abeyta – who set a school record with four goals in a game on Friday – accumulating nine shots.
Post will host Lebanon Valley at 1 p.m. on Jan. 14 in its next game. The Eagles have beaten the Dutchmen twice this season: 5-4 on Nov. 1 and 4-1 on Nov. 2.
