Lakewood, N.J. - Senior
Savannah Schwack (Manorville, N.Y.) added another three goals to her resume, but the Post University women's lacrosse team dropped a 17-6 match to Georgian Court on Tuesday afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference road game.
Schwack now has 31 goals on the season, second on the team.
After an early 2-0 deficit, Schwack scored her first goal of the game at 24:41 to cut the deficit to 2-1.
The Lions scored six straight goals to take an 8-1 lead before freshman
Morgan Cassiliano (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored her 36th goal of the season, a team-high at the 17:10 mark of the first half to make it an 8-2 game.
However, the Lions would score nine straight goals to take a 17-2 lead with 25:34 remaining in the game.
Post's rally fell short, as they scored four straight goals and didn't allow another one the rest of the way. Schwack added two more goals, followed by a goal from junior
Jaylene Souto (Middletown, R.I.) and freshman
Molly Dobratz (Southington, Conn.), who was assisted by Schwack.
Samantha Fernandez scored four goals to lead the Lions. Arianna Quinlan and Angelina Palermo each had three.
Up next, the Eagles (2-9) take on Jefferson in a CACC road game on April 13 starting at noon.
