Eagles Score Early And Often As Women's Lacrosse Dominates Felician

Lyndhurst, N.J. - Three players scored four goals as the Post University women's lacrosse team dominated Felician, 19-8 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game on Tuesday evening.

Senior Aolani Hermosura (Stamford, Conn.), junior Jaylene Souto (Middletown, R.I.) and freshman Morgan Cassiliano (Staten Island, N.Y.) each scored four goals as the Eagles jumped out to a 4-0 lead early on.

Cassiliano got the Eagles on the board first at the 28:31 mark followed by a goal from senior Lauren Chambers (Lebanon, Pa.) before Hermosura scored two straight at 24:06 and 22:58 to put the Eagles up 4-0.

Felician would score three of the next four goals, with Cassiliano scoring the lone Eagles goal during the stretch.

Post went on to score the next five goals as senior Savannah Schwack (Manorville, N.Y.) scored both of her goals - and Souto her first - during the run to put the Eagles up 10-3. Felician would tack on one more, followed by Hermosura's third goal of the half as the Eagles went up 11-4 at the break.

Felician cut the deficit to 11-6 at the 27:20 mark after two goals to open the second half, but Post rattled off seven straight goals, including three by Souto and two from Cassiliano to give Post the commanding 18-6 lead as they coasted the rest of the way for the win.

Schwack finished with two goals and sophomore Julia Thomas (Wading River, N.Y.) had two goals for the Eagles.

Asha Harper, Jordyn Juvelier and Christianna Louzan all had two goals for Felician.

In net, freshman Christina Badaracco (Long Island, N.Y.) had 11 saves for the Eagles.

Up next, the Eagles (3-11, 2-6 CACC) take on Queens in a non-conference game on April 25 beginning at 3 p.m.
