Pomona, N.Y. - Senior Rosario Missiti (Belmont, Mass.) drove in three runs and freshman Christian Aliberti (Eastchester, N.Y.) had four hits as the Post University baseball team topped Dominican 6-2 in an abbreviated six inning Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game. 

A doubleheader was scheduled for the day, but game two was postponed due to inclement weather.

With the Eagles down 1-0 in the third, Missiti drove in a run on an RBI single that scored Aliberti and junior Travious Ford (Greenville, N.C.) to give Post the 2-1 lead. Ford reached on an error and Aliberti singled to begin the inning,

After the Chargers answered in the bottom of the third with a run of their own, the Eagles scored three more in the top of the fourth as Aliberti drove in classmate Isaias Guzman (Passaic, N.J.) who led off the inning with a single to put the Eagles up 3-2 with one out in the inning. The play also advanced Ford, who also singled, to third.

With two outs in the inning and Aliberti and Ford on second and third, respectively, Missiti ripped a two-run double to make it a 5-2 game. Post tacked on one more in the top of the sixth on an RBI single by starting pitcher, sophomore Matt Goehrig (Clifton, N.J.).

Goehrig earned the win, striking out five in six innings. He is 4-1 on the season.

The Eagles are now 17-19 overall and 14-11 in the CACC and sit in second place in the North Division. They will play at Bloomfield in a CACC road doubleheader beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
