Morgan Cassiliano (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored a hat trick, but the Post University women's lacrosse team dropped its first game of the season, 18-3 to American International College on Thursday afternoon at LaMoy Field.
The Yellow Jackets jumped out to a 4-0 - with two goals from Molly Leavitt - before the Eagles got on the board with Cassiliano's first goal of the game at the 22:07 mark. However, AIC would run off seven straight goals, including two each from Brittany Hutchison and Mary Bates to take an 11-1 lead into halftime.
Cassiliano opened the scoring in the second half with a goal at 26:23 to make it an 11-2 game, but AIC scored the next five goals to put the game out of reach. Cassiliano would score her third and final goal at the 8:43 mark on an assist from sophomore

Christina Badaracco (Long Island, N.Y.) and sophomore
Noreen Donnelly (Staten Island, N.Y.) combined for 16 saves on the day.
Hutchison and Bates finished with four goals each.
