WATERBURY, Conn. - Post found themselves in an early 5-0 deficit in the first game of their doubleheader against Georgian Court. 

However, the Eagles put together a late rally. After loading the bases in the fifth inning, Kasey Jusino worked a walk to force in a run, bringing the score to 6-2. That would be the only run Post came away with in the inning. 

Senior Leslie Denis did a tremendous job of keeping Post in the game in a relief effort. Denis pitched four innings in relief, allowing only three hits and one run (unearned). She struck out five batters. 

The Eagles threatened once again in the sixth inning. After scoring a run to bring the score to 6-3, Leyri Rivera ripped a two-run double into the left centerfield gap to make it a one run game. Post was unable to bring the tying run across the plate and fell 6-5 in the opening game of the doubleheader. 

In game two, Georgian Court set the tone early with a first inning two-run homer. They would go on to score four more runs in the fourth and fifth innings to go up 6-0. 

In the sixth, Eryka Springer belted a three-run homer to push the score to 9-0. 

The Eagles pieced together four hits and were plagued by five errors in the field in the second game of the doubleheader.
