Over the last six games, Marcus Johnson has been a menace for opposing teams. The 6'6 junior from Evanston, Ill. has put together three double-doubles over the six game stretch, including an 18 point, 18 rebound performance in a win over USciences. Last time out, Johnson went off for 21 points and 16 rebounds in an important home win against Nyack. Johnson has averaged 12 points and 10.2 rebounds over this stretch while shooting an efficient 52% from the field. As an athletic big man, Johnson has been able to provide important second chance scoring off offensive rebounds, low block scoring and has the Eagles best three-point shooter for stretches this season. "He just goes after the ball, he is a very good offensive rebounder," head coach Marc Kuntz said. "When he is engaged and locked in, he is one of the better rebounders in our league." Johnson has been especially good at home this season. He averages seven more points and nearly five more rebounds per game when playing at the Drubner Center. "When he's going after it, it is a huge advantage for us," Kuntz added.

Junior guard Tyshon Rogers (Waterbury, Conn.) has been as good as any player in the CACC in taking over games in multiple facets. Over his last four games, Rogers is averaging 22 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3 steals. "Defensively, he has a nose for the ball, he gets steals, gets deflections," Kuntz said. Rogers has been known to go on stretches of dominance this season. Whether he's collecting boards, jumping in passing lanes or going on personal scoring runs, he tends to find a way to put together impactful stretches each time the Eagles play. "He just goes, sometimes I have to just stay out his way and let him do his thing," Kuntz said, with a smile. "He gets rolling, he gets downhill on guys and it's very hard to stop him."

With six games remaining in the regular season, men's basketball sit at 5-8 in the CACC (6th in North), just one game behind Felician (6-5, 4th in North) in the win column . Sitting between the two teams is Concordia (5-7, 5th in North). The Eagles will have a lot of control over how the playoff picture shakes out. Next, they will travel to play a tough Goldey-Beacom (8-5, 2nd in South) team. After Goldey, they will travel down to Georgian Court (2-10, 6th in South). After GCU, there will be a very important game on the road against Felician, a team they beat at home on January 22nd. Next, they will then have a chance to avenge two early season road losses when they take on Dominican (10-1, 1st in North) and Bloomfield (10-2, 2nd in North). Both games will be played the Drubner Center where the Eagles are 5-3 this season. The regular season will conclude with a home matchup against Concordia on March 2nd, a game that could have important implications in the CACC North playoff picture.
