Season Opener
Coming off one of the most successful seasons in school history, Post baseball team picked up right where they off by tacking on 23 runs in a 23-13 victory over University of Charleston (WV).
The Eagles faced an early deficit after giving up a two-run home run in the first inning but answered with two runs of their own in the second inning thanks to RBI doubles by both Miguel De Los Santos and Travious Ford.
Rosario Missiti started off the Eagles half of the third inning with another RBI double. Post would score five more runs in the frame thanks to sloppy play in field by Charleston.
Charleston answered back with a two-run third and four-run fourth, tying the game 8-8.
Post would relinquish the lead in the fifth when Charleston tripled in a run and then scored on a passed ball to take a 11-9 lead.
Ford collected his second RBI of the game in the sixth inning when he singled in a run to bring the Eagles back to within one.
A Charleston error in the seventh inning helped Post once again tie the game. De Los Santos picked up his second and third RBIs of the game later in the seventh when he doubled in two run to give Post the lead back, 13-11.
Charleston quickly tied the game once again with two runs in the bottom half of the seventh.
The Eagles used their half of the eighth inning to take control of the game. Highlighted by a Christian Aliberti two-run double, Post hung an eight spot on Charleston to take a commanding 21-13 lead.
De Los Santos capped the scoring in the ninth when he tripled in the games final run, making the score 23-13.
Tyler Boisvert helped shut the door for the Eagles on the mound. Boisvert pitched a scoreless eighth and ninth innings while striking out four batters and only allowing one hit.

Miguel De Los Santos led the Eagles in hits (4) and RBIs (5)
Isaias Guzman picked up one hit but led the Eagles in runs scored (6)
Christian Aliberti picked up three hits, three RBIs and three runs in a productive seven at bats
Rosario Missiti went 2-7 with one rbi and three runs scored
On The Mound
Trenton Taylor picked up the win after allowing two earned runs over three innings of work. Taylor stuck out three batters and walked one.
Tyler Boisvert needed only 27 pitches to complete two scoreless innings of work while striking out four batters.
