Jarrett Scores 32 In High Scoring 91-87 Loss To Felician

RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Felician led the game by as many as 11 in the firs half. Post led by as many as 14 in the second, including an 11 point lead with 4:45 left in the game. A late 16-1 run secured a comeback victory for Felician. 

Isaiah Holmes (12) and D.J. Jarrett (11) scored 23 of the Eagles 40 first half points tonight. 

Post found themselves in an early ten point deficit but we were able to tie the game at 33-33 with five minutes remaining in the first half. Felician then went on a 17-7 run in the final portion of the opening half to take a ten point lead into the break. 

Jarrett nailed one of his nine three-point shots at the 17:15 mark of the second half to help the Eagles quickly trim the Golden Falcons lead down one. 

The second half started with a 21-1 run by the Eagles, spanning 4:33 of gameplay. Digging deeper into the run, Post had a stretch where they went 7-7 from the field (2-2 from deep) with six steals, all leading to points on the other end. 

Post extended their lead to 14 at the 11:31 mark when Jarrett connected on another shot from deep. 

With 8:35 remaining in the game Jarrett really went on a tear, scoring 12 straight points for the Eagles over the course of two minutes. His run ended at the 6:04 mark with the Eagles leading 83-71

Next, it was the Golden Falcons turn to get hot. Felician turned a 83-71 deficit into a 88-87 lead in the matter of four minutes. Felician would not surrender another point and hit three free throws in the final minutes to go on to win 91-87. 

Career Nights 

  • D.J. Jarrett scored a career high 32 points on 11-20 shooting (9-15 from deep)
  • Isaiah Holmes shot an efficient 7-10 from the field (3-4 from deep) on way to a career high 17 points. Holmes also picked up four rebounds, three assists and three steals

Other Notables

  • Tamas Okros picked up a double-double: 12 points on 5-7 shooting (1-2 from deep) with 11 rebounds
  • Tyshon Rogers fell one rebound shy of a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds 

Despite picking up 13 steals to Felician's 7, the Eagles were outscored on points of turnovers 24-23. Felician also led in points in the paint (48-23) and bench points (35-18) 

Post was feeling it from deep all night, going 14-29 (48%).
