Shelton, Conn. - The Post University women's hockey team lost an 8-1 match to Trine on Friday evening.
After falling behind, 3-0 after the first period, the Eagles responded with a goal from freshman
Catherine Proulx, who took a pass from seniors
Kendall Fitzgerald and
Julia Schatz to make it a 3-1 game. It was Proulx's fifth goal of the season, which is tied for the team lead.
Trine answered with two goals in the second and three in the third. Theresa DiMaggio scored two goals for the Thunder.
Senior
Jenna Baumgartner finished with 22 saves on the day.
The two teams meet again on Saturday at 1 p.m. at The Rinks at Shelton.
