Hershey, Pa. – The Post University women's hockey team scored four unanswered goals in a 4-1 win over Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon.
The Dutchmen took a 1-0 lead after the first, but the Eagles immediately got the scoring going in the second as freshman Madison Turley took a pass from classmate Emily Racco and scored just 42 seconds in to tie the game at 1-1. It was her second goal of the season.
Post took the lead for good at the 13:22 mark of the second, as last night's hero, junior Paige Dundas found freshman Victoria Paton who scored her first goal of her career to give Post the 2-1 lead.
In the third, freshman Catherine Proulx scored her fourth goal of the season to give the Eagles their first insurance goal at the 15:29 mark off a pass from senior Julia Schatz. The Eagles tacked on one more goal in the final minute as freshman Jenna Abeyta scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season at 19:08 in the third.
Senior goalkeeper Jenna Baumgartner stopped 13 shots for Post. She is 3-3 on the season in net.
Post will host Trine University on November 8 at 4 p.m. at The Rinks at Shelton.
