Bloomfield, N.J. – The Post University women's volleyball team lost a 3-0 (25-9, 25-13, 27-25) match to Bloomfield in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference competition (CACC).
After dropping the first two sets, the Eagles rallied in the third set and just missed extending it to a fourth. With the Eagles up 16-15, the Bears scored six of the next seven points and took a 21-17 lead. But, the Eagles rallied and scored the next four points to tie the game at 21-21, including an ace from junior Suzy Boulay.
The Bears scored the next two points to take a 23-21 lead, but again the Eagles rallied, scoring the next three, thanks to a kill from freshman Aniya Goodman and an ace by freshman Mikayla McLeod to give the Eagles a set point. The Bears scored again to tie it, and the Eagles would again have set point after a service error by Bloomfield. However, the Bears scored the next three points to take the match.
Junior Elizabeth McGrath finished with 14 assists and ten digs. Boulay finished with ten digs. Senior Shannon Veale and McLeod each led the Eagles with four kills.
Up next, the Eagles host Goldey-Beacom at noon on November 2.
