Manchester, N.H. – Freshman Jenna Abeyta scored her third goal of the season and junior Paige Dundas scored her first of the season, but the Post University women's hockey team lost, 3-2 to Saint Anselm in a New England Women's Hockey Alliance game.
After giving up two goals early in in the second, Post rebounded with a goal from Dundas off assists from freshmen Eve Lundin and Sadie Storm on a power play to cut the deficit to 2-1.
In the third, Jamie Gottwald of the Hawks scored on an unassisted goal to make it a 3-1 game.
Abeyta, the reigning NEWHA Rookie of the Week scored her second goal in three games off a pass from freshman Emily Racco.
However, the Hawks were able to hold off any comeback attempts in the final 12 minutes of the game.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Daly had 43 saves on the day, which ties her season high. Senior Kendall Fitzgerald and Abeyta led the team with four saves
