Holy Family Scores Late Goal To Beat Men’s Soccer

Waterbury, Conn. – The Post University men's soccer team lost a heartbreaking 2-1 double overtime game to Holy Family in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles now sit at 8-3-3 overall and 5-2-2 in the CACC.

Post took an early 1-0 lead in the second minute as Andrea Baleotto scored his first goal of the game off a pass from junior Sergio Diaz, the leader in assists in the CACC.

The Tigers tied the game in the 21st minute as Davis Habilaj took a pass from Dakota Taylor on a breakaway to tie the game at 1-1.

The two teams would go scoreless in the second half until Holy Family's Sean McCormick took a shot from the top of the box that deflected off of a defender into the net to give Holy Family the 2-1 win.

The Eagles will play their next game at Caldwell on October 30 at 2:30 p.m.
