Nyack, N.Y. – Senior Shannon Veale had 14 kills and the Post University women's volleyball team beat Nyack, 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-19) in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on Tuesday evening.

A tight first set saw the teams tied at 14-14 before the Eagles went on a 6-1 run to take a 20-15 lead and hold on for the rest of the way. During the decisive run, the Eagles had three straight kills from senior Michelle Stublarec and freshmen Jayda Roman and Aniya Goodman. Veale had four kills during the set. Roman and Goodman had three.

In set two, the Eagles jumped out to a 9-1 lead, capitalizing on three attack errors by the Warriors as well as getting kills from Goodman, Veale and Roman. The Warriors closed the gap to 24-23 after mounting a comeback, but senior Ann Marie Nelson ended the set on a kill off of an assist from junior Elizabeth McGrath.

In the third and final set, with the Eagles down 16-14, finished with an 11-3 run to take the match. Stublarec had two kills during the big run, as did Veale.

McGrath had 36 assists for the Eagles. Roman finished with 16 digs and seven kills.
