Lakewood, N.J. – The Post University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-17) match to Georgian Court on Saturday evening.

Senior Shannon Veale led the Eagles with six kills on the day to go along with 13 digs.

The Lions jumped out to an early 15-5 lead in the first set and were able to hold on, despite the Eagles cutting the deficit to six points on two occasions.

Post jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on two attack errors from the Lions. After a 6-2 run by the Lions to take a 6-4 lead, Post scored three straight of their own, with two of the points coming on kills from freshman Aniya Goodman and Veale. The Lions would score the next four points and hold the lead the rest of the way.

After being down 8-5 in set three, Post scored five straight points, including two more kills from Goodman and Veale to take a 10-7 lead. Post either lead or tied for the lead for the next 14 point until Georgian Court took a 16-15 lead. They'd finish on a 9-2 run.

Senior Ann Marie Nelson finished with five blocks to lead all players. Junior Elizabeth McGrath had 21 assists.
