Nyack, N.Y. - A high scoring first half was highlighted by strong shooting performances from D.J. Jarrett and Darryl Stewart. Each player shot 4-6 from the field, while Jarrett scored nine points and Stewart ended the half with eight points. As a team, the Eagles shot 44% from the field (16-36) but allowed Nyack to shoot at a 59% clip (17-29) from the field in the first half. Marcus Johnson stuffed the stat sheet in the first half, collecting three points, four rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 18 minutes of play. Nyack led 47-36 at halftime, which would prove to be largest lead either team had in the game.

After going 1-4 from the free throw line in the first half, Post came out in the second half attacking the rim and getting to the free throw line. Within the first 1:20 of play, Rogers, Stewart and Okros each converted on two free throws, trimming the lead from 11 to five. In total, the Eagles went 21-29 (72%)  from the free throw line in the second half. The game as a whole saw 68 total free throws attempted.

The last ten minutes of the game was played within a four point margin. Both teams traded baskets and Post finally broke through and took their first lead since the 17:00 minute mark in the first half when Tyshon Rogers converted two free throws with nine seconds left on the clock. This was all set up by an Isaiah Holmes steal with 18 seconds left and the Eagles down one point.

With nine seconds left, Nyack had possession of the ball, down one point. Solid Post defense forced a missed layup by Shawn Witherspoon with one second left, but Joel Bailey was left alone below the hoop and cleaned up the missed layup with a tip-in, giving Nyack a one point lead and the victory.

Darryl Stewart led the Eagles in scoring with 19 points (6-13 FG, 0-5 3PT, 7-10 FT). Not far behind was his backcourt mate Tyshon Rogers who dropped 15 points (4-15 FG, 0-4 3PT, 7-8 FT) with seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Freshmen Isaiah Holmes played one of his best games of the season, scoring ten points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3PT, 2-3 FT) with five rebounds, two steals and one assist.

The Eagles hottest shooter, D.J. Jarrett, was held scoreless in the second half after leading the team in scoring in the first half.
