Waterbury, Conn. - Junior
D.J. Jarrett (Waterbury, Conn.) scored a team-high 21 points and hit four three-pointers, as the Post University men's basketball team rallied from an early 13-point deficit to topple Felician, 95-91 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game Tuesday night.
It was the second straight win for the Eagles who sit at 6-12 overall and 3-6 in the CACC.
Post fell behind 22-9 at the 14:40 mark in the first half before a three-pointer from senior
Levy Gillespie (Meriden, Conn.) sparked a 23-9 run from the Eagles that gave them their first lead of the game on a layup from Jarrett at 8:53. The two teams swapped leads five more times before the Golden Falcons took a 48-46 lead into the half after a layup from Rahsaan Williams. Freshman
D.J. Frechette (Nashua, N.H.) hit a three on the previous possession to tie the game at 46-46.
The Eagles hit five threes in the half from five different players.
Felician extended its lead to as much as eight in the second half as it jumped out to a 7-0 run to begin the half, capped by a three-pointer from Rachid Shumou to give the Golden Falcons a with 18:57 remaining.

Darryl Stewart (Atlanta, Ga.) hit a three at the 11:43 mark, again at the 11:04 mark when juniorÂ
Tyshon Rogers (Waterbury, Conn.) made a layup to make a 71-71 game. Again, Felician would extend its lead to eight, going on an 8-0 run to take a 79-71 lead before another three-pointer from Gillespie sparked a 13-5 run to tie the game again at 84-84. Gillespie hit two threes during the run.Â
The Eagles would finally break through and take their first lead of the half at the 2:36 mark on a layup from junior
Marcus Johnson (Evanston, Ill.) to take an 87-86 lead. After Felician briefly took the lead back at 88-87 on a layup from Williams, freshman
Isaiah Holmes (Lowell, Mass.) made a layup at 1:37 to give the Eagles the 89-88 lead, one which they would not relinquish. Holmes, Rogers and Johnson combined to go 6-for-6 from the free-throw line down the stretch to preserve the win.
Holmes finished with 15 points, four rebounds and three steals. Gillespie finished with 12 points, including three three-pointers. Johnson and Stewart each chipped in with 11 points and Rogers had ten.
Williams led all scorers with 26 points and eight rebounds for Felician (6-9, 4-4 CACC).Â
