Waterbury, Conn. – The Post University women's volleyball team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match to Georgian Court, 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-20) on Saturday afternoon at the Drubner Center.
The Eagles are now 6-10 overall and 3-2 in the CACC.
Senior Madison Hunziker (Sacramento, Calif.) led the Eagles with ten kills, while sophomore Ashley Levatino (Holtsville, N.Y.) had seven kills. Senior Brianna Root (Bristol, Conn.) led all players with 22 assists.
After dropping the first two sets, the Eagles put forth their best performance in the third, taking an early 6-4 lead after a 4-0 run. Hunziker had a kill in the stretch. The teams played the rest of the set tight as the teams were tied, 20-20 before the Lions scored the last five points of the set for the win.
Peggy Rosario of GCU (9-5, 5-1 CACC) led all players with 11 kills. Aubrey Brinkley led all players with ten digs.
Up next for the Eagles is a CACC home game against Caldwell on September 25 at 7 p.m.
