Pleasantville, N.Y. – Senior Cheyenne Grim (Gettysburg, Pa.) had 11 saves and kept the Post University women's soccer team close before succumbing to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Pace on Thursday evening during the Pace Invitational in its first game of the season.
The two teams were scoreless after the first half before Leah Krinker put home her first goal of the season for Pace in the 53rd minute to give the Setters a 1-0 lead. She would add a second goal on a penalty kick in the 82nd minute.
Up next for the Eagles is their second game of the invitational, a 4 p.m. match against the University of New Haven on September 1.
