PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Junior
Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) of the Post University women's lacrosse team scored her 100
th-career goal on Saturday in a tough 18-15 loss to Holy Family. The Eagles fall to 2-12 overall and 1-5 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play with two games remaining.
Post stormed out to a 2-0 lead as sophomore
Jaylene Souto (Middletown, R.I.) scored on the first two possessions. The Tigers answered with a goal of their own. Deren reached her milestone with 24:52 to play in the first half. She is just the third player in school history with 100 goals.
Holy Family pulled ahead 4-3, but Post answered right back with four straight goals of its own to grab the largest lead of the day at 7-4 with 10:35 to play. The Tigers tied it once again and the teams traded goals the remainder of the half and were knotted 9-9 at the break.

Savannah Schwack (Manorville, N.Y.) cut the deficit to one, but the Eagles were unable to get any closer the rest of the game. Sophomore
Kalena Mueller (San Ramon, Calif.) had a goal and freshman
Sydney Hogan (Northford, Conn.) scored twice down the stretch.
Freshman
Noreen Donnelly (Staten Island, N.Y.) made 22 saves on the day. Hogan, Souto, and Schwack led the way with three goals each. Junior
Gabriela Middleton (Coral Springs, Fla.) added two goals, two assists, four ground balls, and three draw controls.
Post returns to action on Wednesday at LaMoy field against Georgian Court. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
