NEWARK, Del. – Junior
Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) scored four goals and two assists as the Post University women's lacrosse team fell to Wilmington 24-12 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup on Saturday afternoon. Deren became the third player in Post history to reach to 100-point milestone in the loss.
Wilmington pulled ahead early with four quick goals, but scores by freshman

Savannah Schwack (Manorville, N.Y.), and Deren made the score 4-3 with 17:09 to go in the first.
La'Dae Boykin extended the Wildcat lead to 6-3 with two goals before junior Gabriella Middleton (Coral Springs, Fla.) answered with her fifth goal of the season. The teams continued to trade points and Wilmington took a 13-7 lead into the half. Deren had three goals and an assist in the first.
Schwack and Deren each scored within the first 1:34 to start the second for Post. After another goal by Boykin, Schwack made the score 14-10 with her fourth of the afternoon. Wilmington extended its lead back out to six with 23:10 to go. Middleton scored back-to-back goals, cutting the deficit to 16-12. The Wildcats took control from there, scoring the final eight goals of the day.
Shots on the afternoon were 45-27 in favor of Wilmington. Hogan led the Eagles with eight attempts. Middleton and freshman
Noreen Donnelly (Staten Island, N.Y.) each grabbed three ground balls. Donnelly also made 13 saves in goal. Deren, Schwack, and Middleton had two caused turnovers each.
Post returns to the field Tuesday afternoon at home against Nyack. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
