SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University women's ice hockey team fell to Holy Cross 5-1 at the Rinks at Shelton on Friday night. Freshman
Ann Margaret DiSciscio (Litchfield, N.H.) scored her ninth goal of the year.
DiSciscio started the scoring as she deked a defender on a breakaway and put the Eagles in front 1-0 just 1:42 into the game. Holy Cross tied the score three minutes later and pulled in front with 2:28 to play as it took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.
Sophomore goaltender
Jenna Baumgartner (Roseau, Minn.) made 24 of her 58 saves on the night in the second period as she allowed just one goal. The Crusaders added two goals in the third. Sophomore
Julia Schatz (East Haven, Conn.) won a team-high seven face-offs.
The Eagles and Crusaders are back in action tomorrow afternoon in Shelton. Puck drops at 12:45 p.m.
