SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University women's ice hockey team was defeated by Holy Cross 9-0 on Saturday afternoon at the SportsCenter of Connecticut in Shelton.
Holy Cross scored twice in the first, three times in the second, and four in the third and had three power-play goals.
The Eagles managed 14 shots on the day led by freshman
Kathleen Takita (Burrilville, R.I.) and sophomore
Sierra Alarid (Cheyenne, Wyoming) each with a team-high three shots.
Sophomores
Julia Schatz (East Haven, Conn.) and
Molly Brumfield (Columbus, Ohio) each won eight face-offs. Freshman
Ashlynn Neurauter (Kamloops, British Columbia) stopped 57 shots on the afternoon.
Post is back in Shelton for its final two home games next weekend against Saint Michael's beginning on Friday at 5:15 p.m.
