WATERBURY, Conn.  – The Post University men's basketball team was defeated by Caldwell 83-51 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game at the Drubner Center on Wednesday night.
 
Senior 
Tyler Desrosiers (Agawam, Mass.) led Post with 18 points. Freshman 
Daniel Cabassa (Bronx, N.Y.) played well off the bench adding 11 points four rebounds and a steal. Senior 
Joseph Lockwood (London, England) had a game-high 12 rebounds and four steals.
 
Caldwell open a 21-9 lead out of the gate, but the Eagles used an 8-1 run to pull within five points with 9:57 to go in the first. Junior 
Tamas Okros (Bristol, England) scored six points to lead Post early on. The Eagles managed to stay within single digits until a three by Zay Jennings with 2:00 remaining made the score 41-30. Lockwood hit a free throw in the final second to cut the deficit to 43-34 at halftime.
 
The Cougars opened their lead back out to 11 points in the second half. Cabassa sparked an 8-0 run for the Eagles with five straight points and Desrosiers hit a three to trim the score to 49-46 with 14:50 to play.
 
Post went cold from there as it scored just five points the rest of the way.
 
The Eagles wrap up the season on Saturday afternoon at home against Concordia. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
