WORCESTER, Mass. – The Post University men's ice hockey team fell to Assumption 2-1 on Friday night in Worcester, Mass. Freshman
Anthony Giacomin (Drexel Hill, Pa.) scored for the Eagles in the loss.
Post earned a power-play after a game misconduct penalty by the Greyhounds late in the first period. With just 10 seconds remaining in the first, Giacomin tallied his sixth goal of the year off assists by sophomore
Noah Wild (Wading River, N.Y.) and freshman
Nolan Arbuckle (Wilmington, Mass.). Wild has recorded a point in eight of the last 10 games.
The Eagles managed to keep Assumption off the board in the first two periods as freshman goaltender
Brandon Brown (Hanahan, S.C.) stopped all 39 shots he faced. Shots were even at 10 each in the third, but Assumption scored twice over the final 10 minutes to grab victory.
Post closes out the regular season tomorrow night against the Greyhounds. Puck drops at 6:05 p.m.
