SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University men's ice hockey team was defeated by Northeast-10 leader Saint Anselm 6-3 on Tuesday night in its home finale at the Sports Center of Connecticut. Freshman
Jake Raleigh (Raleigh, N.C.) scored a goal for the second time in as many games.
The Hawks got started off the opening face-off with a goal just 17 seconds into the game and would add two more in the first period. Freshman
Kieran Hurley (Long Beach, N.Y.) put the Eagles on the board just two seconds remaining the period to make the score 3-1 after one. Freshman
Evan Lugo (Sandy Hook, Conn.) and junior
Brian Hurley (Long Beach, N.Y.) added assists on the goal.
Early in the second, Lugo found sophomore
Noah Wild (Wading River, N.Y.) ahead of the defense as he scored his fourth goal of the season. Freshman
Justin Brown (Norwalk, Conn.) recorded his first-career assist as the deficit was narrowed to just one. A turnover by the Eagles in the defensive zone led to the Hawks taking a 4-2 lead into the second intermission.
Each team had 13 shots and goal in the third period. Saint Anselm struck first before Raleigh added his seventh of the year with 4:14 to play.

Post finishes the season with a two-game series at Assumption beginning Friday night at 5:35 p.m. in Worcester, Mass.
