Joseph Lockwood (London, England) hit a layup midway through a low-scoring first half to tie the game 10-10. Lockwood finished with 12 points and three rebounds. The Eagles hit their next five shots and junior
Justin Iton (Englewood, N.J.) made a free-throw to put Post in front 21-16 with 7:28 to go in the half.
Dominican used an 11-0 run from there to pull ahead by six, but two baskets by Desrosiers in the final minute cut the deficit to 31-29 at halftime.
The Eagles were able to tie the score four times over the opening 5:12 of the second half, but never regained the lead. A 9-0 run by the Chargers made the score 47-38, but Post would not go away easily as a hoop by junior
Tamas Okros (Bristol, England) trimmed the lead to 52-50 with 7:27 left. The Chargers scored the next eight points and led by as many as 10 before the final horn.
Freshman
Darrick Boyd (Springfield, Mass.) scored 11 points and eight rebounds. Okros added 10 points and seven boards off the bench. Iton finished with seven points and seven rebounds.
Post will play its final road game of the season on Saturday at Wilmington. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
