Rogers Drops 29 In Eagles 61-60 Loss To Mercy

Post University Men's Basketball battled back from a 26 point deficit to go ahead by six with less than three minutes left. However, Mercy went on a 6-0 run in the final minute to grab the win away from the Eagles. Mercy went to the line to shoot two free throws with one second left after a Tyshon Rogers foul. Sal Barbetto (Mercy) missed the first free throw but went on to make the second. 
 

Rogers, the only Eagle in double figures, went 14-29 from the field in his 29 point effort and added six steals and nine rebounds. 

The Eagles came up with a remarkable 18 steals as a team, led by Rogers (6), Darryl Stewart (4) and D.J. Frechette (3). 

Post outscored Mercy 38-17 in the second half after trailing 44-22 at halftime thanks to 51% shooting from the field in the second compared to 21% in the first. The 3-point shot never got going for the Eagles, as they went 0-20 from deep on the game. 

Darryl Stewart, the teams second leading scorer on the game, filled up the stat sheet with nine points, four steals, three assists and four rebounds

The Eagles were without there starting point guard, Dwight Felton, who has now missed two games in a row.
