Shelton, Conn. - Junior
Jenna Baumgartner (Roseau, Mn.) had 74 saves, but the Post University women's hockey team dropped its season opener, 6-0 to Sacred Heart on Friday afternoon.
The Eagles are 0-1 on the season.
Baumgartner had 25 saves in the first period, 24 in the second and 25 in the third.
Sophomores
Paige Dundas (La Broqueire, Manitoba) and
Kathleen Takita (Burrillville, R.I.) led the Eagles with two shots on goal apiece. As a team, the Eagles had nine shots on goal.
Victoria Grimmer scored two goals to lead Sacred Heart.
The two teams will meet again on Saturday in Shelton, Conn.
