Shelton, Conn. - Junior Kendall Fitzgerald (Kamloops, British Columbia) scored the Post University women's hockey team's first goal of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles dropped a 7-1 match  to Sacred Heart at the Sports Center of Connecticut.

Fitzgerald's goal came in the third period at 3:30 mark to make it a 3-1 game at the time.

Seven different Pioneers scored, including Jayne Lewis who assisted on two others.

Up next for the Eagles is a New England Women's Hockey Association matchup against Franklin Pierce on October 12 at 4 p.m.
