Men's Hockey came away with their first win of the season in a game that saw four different lead changes.
Post found themselves in an early hole when Anna Maria scored a late first period power play goal. Nick Levesque played the entire first period in goal, allowing one goal on five shots faced.
The second period would play much differently than the first. Sophomore Forward Anthony Giacomin netted consecutive goal within two minutes of each other to put the Eagles in front 2-1. Giacomin found help from four different teammate on the two goals: Nolan Arbuckle and Tyler Hackett assisted on the first, while Jake Raleigh and Noah Wild helped on the second.
Anna Maria answered the consecutive Eagle's goals with two of their own in the second period, bringing the score to 3-2. Joseph McLeod played all 20 minutes in goal in the second period, allowing two goals on 13 shots faced.
It was all Eagles in the third period. Niko Grollman tied the game midway through the period at 3-all. Grollman's goal was assisted by Hackett, his second helper of the game. With less than four minutes left in the final period, Evan Lugo scored off a pass from Lucas Smith and sealed the win for Post.
Sophomore Goaltender Brandon Brown played the closer role in Saturday night's game. Brown played the entire final period in net, which started with his team trailing, and allowed zero goals on 12 shots faced.
Head Coach Pete Whitney was proud of his team after the hard-fought victory, "We demonstrated great poise and character coming from behind twice to win," Whitney said.
Whitney went on to talk about his team's sluggish start, "I thought we looked a bit rusty with this being our first game playing against an opponent who was going into their third contest."
Despite the sluggish start, Post tightened their play up improved their performance as the game went on by outscoring Anna Maria 4-2 after the first period.

- Post received a strong performance from the penalty kill unit, allowing one power play goal on seven chances (14%)
