RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Post University men's basketball team was defeated by Felician 86-50 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup on Saturday afternoon at Job Gymnasium in Rutherford, N.J. Freshman
Jaylen Washington (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored a career-best 11 points off the bench to lead the Eagles.
Post could not find its shot from the opening whistle as it went 2-for-15 from the floor to start, meanwhile Felician built a 22-4 lead with 11:03 to go in the first. The Eagles trailed by as many as 26 points in the half, but finished the half on a 7-2 run to trail 38-17 at the break.
The Eagles continued their run to start the second and a layup by junior
Tamas Okros (Bristol, England) cut the deficit to 16 at 41-25 with 17:22 left to play. Post would not get any closer than that as Felician rolled to victory.
Senior
Joseph Lockwood (London, England) was the only other Eagle in double-figures as he finished with 10 points and seven rebounds. Okros added nine points and six rebounds. Junior
Justin Iton (Englewood, N.J.) pulled down a team-best eight boards.
Post returns to Drubner on Wednesday, Jan. 10 against Chestnut Hill. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
