FOXBORO, Mass. – A slow start by the Post University men's hockey team led to an early deficit, but the Eagles took charge the rest of the way en route to a 5-4 victory over Stonehill on Saturday in Foxboro, Mass. Five different Eagles scored in the victory.
"We started slow but found our legs and played the game the right way and were rewarded tonight. I couldn't be prouder of the effort and execution," said head coach

Stonehill controlled play to start the game and goals by Nicholas Godin and Seamus Maloney put the Skyhawks in front 2-0 just 7:23 into the first period. The Eagles answered back later in the period as freshman
Anthony Giacomin (Drexel, Hill, Pa.) cut the deficit to one.

Nolan Arbuckle (Wilmington, Mass.) connected on a power-play goal late to tie the game 2-2. Arbuckle has recorded seven points in just seven games played this season.
Post took its first lead of the night 2:22 into the second period off a power-play goal by junior
Brian Hurley (Long Beach, N.Y.). Stonehill tied it just under a minute later, but the Eagles had a quick answer as sophomore
Tyler Hackett (Branford, Conn.) found classmate
Lucas Smith (Calgary, Alberta) for the go-ahead score to make it 4-3.
Hackett made the most of a 5-on-3 opportunity for the Eagles with 12:14 to play in the second with his team-leading 10
th goal of the year. Post scored five of its seven goals in a 1-0-1 weekend against Stonehill on the power-play.
Ryan Meade notched a tally for the Skyhawks to make the score 5-4 in favor of Post heading into the third. Freshman goaltender
Brandon Brown (Hanahan, S.C.) made half of his 46 saves in the third to preserve victory for the Eagles.
Post was able to overcome a 50-28 shot differential to pick up its second victory of the season.
The Eagles look to keep rolling on Tuesday night as they visit Franklin Pierce. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
