SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University men's ice hockey team led after the first period but dropped a tight 4-3 matchup with Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday night at the SportsCenter of Connecticut.

The Eagles struck quickly as sophomore
John Drummond (Littleton, Colo.) put home his first goal of the year just 35 seconds into the game. Sophomore
Tyler Hackett (Branford, Conn.) and freshman
Evan Lugo (Sandy Hook, Conn.) assisted on the goal.
Southern New Hampshire tied the score 1-1 later in the period. With 8:11 to play in the first, senior
Christopher Harris (Barnstable, Mass.) put the Eagles back in front and they held that lead into intermission.
The Penmen scored the lone goal of the second and took a 3-2 lead early in the third period. Sophomore
Noah Wild (Wading River, N.Y.) put back the rebound off a shot by freshman
Anthony Giacomin (Drexel Hill, Pa.) to knot the score. Southern New Hampshire took the lead for good less than a minute later.
Freshman
Brandon Brown (Manassas, Va.) made 36 saved for the Eagles.
Post begins a four-game road trip on Friday, Jan. 26 at Stonehill. Puck drops at 7:20 p.m.
