WORCESTER, Mass. – The Post University women's ice hockey team was defeated by Becker 2-1 on Tuesday night at the Fidelity Worcester Ice Center.
Sophomore
Molly Brumfield (Columbus, Ohio) got the scoring started just 9:19 into the game on a short-handed goal, assisted by sophomore
Julia Schatz (East Haven, Conn.).
Becker found the equalizer with 2:05 remaining in the first, as Brittany Aiello scored her first goal of the season. The score would remain tied until Samantha Talmadge tallied the game-winner 4:54 into the second period.
Freshman goaltender Danaée St-Germain (Metcalfe, Ontario) finished with 47 saves.
The Eagles return home Friday against Sacred Heart. Puck drops at 8:15 p.m.
