LAKEWOOD, N.J. – For the second time this week, junior
Sarah Seger (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) recorded a career-high in kills, finishing with 18 as the Post University volleyball team defeated Georgian Court 3-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match on Saturday. The Eagles improve to 7-9 overall and 5-1 in CACC play.
Post took the first two sets 25-22 and 25-17, but fell 25-23 in the third. The Eagles responded with a 25-12 victory in the fourth to take the match.
In addition to her 18 kills, Seger added 11 digs and two service aces. Junior
Madison Hunziker (Sacramento, Calif.) had 15 kills and two aces. Senior
Sarah Ryder (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) recorded a team-best 16 digs and two aces.
Freshman
Kyla Knight (Seabrook, Texas) was lights out on service with seven aces, the most since Seger accomplished the feat against Georgian Court last season; she added 12 digs. Junior
Brianna Root (Bristol, Conn.) put up 41 assists and nine digs.
The Eagles continue their road trip on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Holy Family. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
