CALDWELL, N.J. – The Post University women's tennis team defeated Caldwell 8-1 on Thursday afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match. The Eagles improve to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in CACC play.
Caldwell was playing a player down so the Eagles earned two points by default. Post won both doubles matches with seniors
Liza Dubrovskaya (Rostov-on-Don, Russia) and
Brianna Miah (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) defeating Valeria Otarola and Rebecca Ryan 8-2. Freshman
Annika Janson (Seeon, Germany) and junior
Jessica Bergen (Bethel, Conn.) earned a win at No. 2 doubles 8-5.
Janson, playing at No. 1 singles for the first time this season, defeated Otarola 6-4, 0-6, 6-2. Miah grabbed a three-set win at No. 2 over Ryan, 6-1, 2-6, 7-5. Bergen defeated Shannon Donaldson 8-1 and junior
Sarah Namazi (Waterbury, Conn.) swept Amy Tang 8-0.
The Eagles are back at home on Saturday against Wilmington. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
