WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University volleyball team defeated USciences 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match at the Drubner Center on Saturday. The Eagles have won their last 18 conference matches at home.
Post never trailed on its way to a 25-13 victory in the first set. Ahead 19-13, the Eagles scored the final six points to take the set. Freshman
Kyla Knight (Seabrook, Texas) served to close out the frame and had two of her team-high three service aces.
With the second set tied 10-10, Post reeled off 10 straight points to take control. Junior
Madison Hunziker (Sacramento, Calif.) had three kills during the run. She also had the final two kills of the set as the Eagles took it 25-13.
Post took a 7-3 lead to begin the third, but USciences used a 6-0 run capped by two straight blocks to take a 12-11 advantage. The teams battled back and forth and another block by the Devils gave them at 20-19 lead. The Eagles closed the match on a 6-1 run to take the set 25-21.
Hunziker led Post with 16 kills to go with nine digs and five blocks. Senior
Kerrin Kallmann (Lake Grove, N.Y.) had a season-high 12 kills. Junior
Sarah Seger (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) added seven kills, 14 digs, and three aces. Senior
Sarah Ryder (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) recorded a season-best 15 digs.

Brianna Root (Bristol, Conn.) put up 35 assists and is now just 34 away from 3,000 for her career.
Post returns home on Wednesday night against CACC North rival Bloomfield. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
