WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's soccer team was defeated at home by New York Institute of Technology 6-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles return to action on Wednesday against Concordia.
Sophomore
Hope Wilson (Mahopac, N.Y.) and freshman
Fenna Maarse (Hilversum, Netherlands) had two shots on goal for the Eagles early in the first half. NYIT's Casey Luongo scored twice in the first half as the Bears led 4-0 at the break.
Sophomore
Fitore Kllobocishta (Watertown, Conn.) had a chance to get Post on the board in the 57
th minute but her shot sailed over the crossbar. The Bears added two more goals in the second.
Freshman
Hannah Richards (Huddersfield, England) and junior
Cailah Baranowski (Naugatuck, Conn.) combined to make seven saves in goal.
Post is back at home on Wednesday against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) foe Concordia at 3 p.m.
