PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Post University men's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 7-2 match at East #3 Chestnut Hill on Saturday afternoon, its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) loss of the year. Three of the six singles matches went to a decisive third set.
Juniors
Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia) and
Ludvig Henrikson (Taby, Sweden) grabbed the Eagles' only point in doubles with a 9-7 win over the ninth-ranked doubles team in the region of Lucas Bocaletto and Pedro Regalin.
The team of sophomore
Ivan Rajevac (Dubrovnik, Croatia) and freshman
Samuel Urban (Košice, Slovakia) fell in a close match with Pierre Kohler and Jonathan Ducretot 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.
Rajevac got the better of Bocaletto in at No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 6-4 victory. At No. 1, Crvelin fell to Kohler in three sets 3-6, 6-3, 3-6. Henrikson grabbed the first set of his No. 3 singles match with Felix Andre but fell 6-1, 3-6, 7-10. Urban also dropped a three-set thriller 5-7, 6-3, 3-6 to Ducretot at No. 4.
The Eagles have another tough match up next on the road at #47 Queens on Tuesday. First serve is set for 12 p.m.
