ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Post University men's tennis team won its second straight match on Sunday afternoon 7-2 at Roberts Wesleyan. The Eagles entered the match ranked seventh in the East Region while the Redhawks were tenth.
Post began the day with victories in all three doubles matches. Juniors
Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia) and
Ludvig Henrikson (Taby, Sweden) defeated Hugo Ball-Greene and Jose Carrillo 8-6 at the top spot. Sophomore
Ivan Rajevac (Dubrovnik, Croatia) and freshman
Samuel Urban (Košice, Slovakia) grabbed an 8-4 win in second doubles. Freshman
Joe Alvord (Southbury, Conn.) and sophomore
Peter Rossel (Vienna, Austria) won in the third spot over Guillerme Plentz de Liz and Dustin Eshleman 8-3.
At No. 3 singles, Henrikson defeated Dennis Bariotta 6-1, 6-3. The Eagles clinched the match as Rossel made quick work of Plentz de Liz at the fourth spot 6-1, 7-5. Urban earned a 6-4, 6-2 win and Alvord won 6-2, 6-2 for the Eagles final two points.
Post is back in action on Monday at LeMoyne. First serve is set 10:30 a.m.
