Toni Deren (Greenlawn, N.Y.) scored twice in the loss.
The Eagles fell behind 8-0 to start the first half. Deren put Post on the board with 16:52 to go as freshman
Rose Varrone (Staten Island, N.Y.) found her in front of the net for the score. Molloy led 14-1 at the break.
Post struck first in the second half as a turnover by the Lions led to another goal by Deren. After a score by Molloy, sophomore
Aolani Hermosura (Stamford, Conn.) answered with her first-career goal to make the score 15-3.
Freshmen
Leona Stevens (Kingston, Mass.) and
Jaylene Souto (Middletown, R.I.) led the Eagles with four ground balls each. Deren had two draw controls for Post. Freshman goalkeeper
Alana Lopez (Wolcott, Conn.) made eight saves on the day.
The Eagles return to action at home on Wednesday, March 8 against Assumption. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m.
