Holly Springs, N.C. The Post University pitching staff struck out 12 batters but the Eagles baseball team lost a 3-1 game to East Stroudsburg on Sunday afternoon.

With the loss the Eagles are now 1-3 on the season. Starting sophomore
Tyler Kovalewich (Colonia, N.J.) pitched four innings, giving up three earned runs on three hits and four walks, but struck out five. Freshman
Justin Gallicchio (Canton, Conn.) pitched 3.2 innings and struck out five and junior
Ben Brown (Middlebury, Conn.) pitched 1.1 innings and struck out two.

East Stroudsburg scored one run in the fifth on an RBI single by Dylan Tamecki, and another one by Laine Renaud in the top of the fourth.

After East Stroudsburg tacked on another run in the top of the fifth, senior
Joey Picone (Washingtonville, N.Y.) hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score junior
Alex Wright (Butler, N.J.).

The Eagles attempted a comeback in the ninth, but left runners on first and second to end the game.

Wright finished the game going 2-for-4 with one run scored. Senior
Drew Deangelis (Robbinsville, N.J.) was 2-for-3 with a walk.
